Dushambe Tea Women

These two pen drawings were done at the Boulder Dushambe Tea House. There are seven statues of women in the center of the restaurant, standing in a pool with plants and fish.

EDM Challenge #52 Year of the Dog

This is Kia, our siberian husky. The only time she would hold still was while she was sleeping! The proportions are a little off on the full-body drawing, but it was really fun to do. I learned a lot while doing both drawings. I'd like to try it again.

Snow Tree Trunks

I drew these two tree trunks (limber pine and aspen) while snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park. I didn't get far before my hands started to freeze! The black circles at the base of the trees are deep holes where the wind blew the snow away from the tree trunks. I'd never really seen that before moving to Colorado.

Pen Pottery

This is pottery by a local potter on display in a library museum annex. I was attempting to work on shading and value with pen. It's difficult!
