Flying

This is the Patron Saint of Flying. The drawing kind of came to me in an intuitive way while I was on the way to the airport. It makes me giggle.

I drew these couple of yellow dock leaves during an herb class.

A quick watercolor sketch while hiking. Those are snow-covered mountains where the snow is partially melted.

Mountain Wash

This is an exercise from a book I found in the library "Watercolors in a Weekend: Landscapes" by Frank Halliday. I've really enjoyed doing some of the exercises to get more comfortable with the watercolor medium. I wanted to practice the landscape techniques in order to be able to use watercolor in the field.
