Arches NP - Devil's Garden

 

These drawings were done on site at Devil's Garden in a brief moment of sun after hiking to Landscape Arch with my mom.  It was raining, snowing or freezing the entire time we were there, so this was our one opportunity to sketch outside.  Even including the weather, it was beautiful.
Pencil or pen and watercolor for the top sketches, pencil and Tombow water soluable markers for the bottom sketch.

Arches - Landscape Arch Zentangle

Zentangle idea of Landscape Arch done in the hotel room at the end of the day after hiking there.  It was beautiful.  We stayed there long enough for it to snow on us and then have the clouds part and see the sun!

Clay Totems

I took a clay totem class during March.  My totem is on the left, plus the flower on the ground. Christina's is on the right.  It was so much fun to play with the clay!  These are set up on the front doorstep to whimsically welcome guests!

Speaking In Stars

Mixed media piece based on an exercise from Art Journal Freedom.  It is a self portait using a silhouette from a photo taken of me. Very fun!
